The guy made a great effort to examine even the most difficult spots under my house. He helped me to identify what exactly needed to be done - even though he knew I was going to use my contractor to do the work.
I had a very good experience with this company. They did not leave a mess behind them, and have nice employees working for them. They came out, and got rid of all my termites. They did a very good job that another company was unable to do. This company charged less then other company, and did a lot better job.

Excellent. They prepped the exterior of the house (turning up weed fabric) so that seal works well. Afterward they came back to undo their prep. Found some medicines I forgot to vacate; they put it in a plastic bag on the kitchen counter.
The inspector seemed very knowledgeable and complete. The exterminators were very free in discussing the treatment they were performing and were amenable to checking and treating the areas and adjacent spots as well as cleaning and refinishing the treated area. The guarantee is for a period of one year, during which time they will return and retreat any areas that show evidence of re-infestation. Franz's estimate for the work was the lowest of four that I received and I am happy with the result.

I was very pleased with Franz Termite Control and their subcontractor...Cost of the inspection was $45 ($95 - $50 coupon from Angie's List). The subcontractor sent a representative to look at the garage and then Franz provided an estimate of $900 to tent it. All this was performed promptly. It was agreed to perform the fumigation at that price and the fumigation was performed on schedule about a week later. The subcontractor clearly explained the prep work I needed to do, and they did a good job of cleaning up at the end. The fumigation came with a three-year warranty.

We chose Franz Termite Control to do a report and tenting on the house we sold. They organized everything including subbing out the tenting...They were helpful and considerate of all my concerns. The inspector arrived on time, listened to us to understand that we had called following the siting of a very large swarm of subterranean termites...The inspection and discussions took approximately an hour, at the end of which we learned that the house did not show any signs of active termite behavior...The inspector did not think we should do preventative treatment... The peace of mind was worth the cost. I would also note that several of our neighbors recommended Franz, and they were right!
Franz Termite was recommended by a neighbor in Menlo Park. Despite the name, they are experts in structural and framing repair. even our structural engineer was impressed by how well they follow directions ...they are awesome. i recommend anyone with any structural damages call them. they are also very fair about payment collection...they seem adequately funded and are focused on customer experience and truly value their brand. big fan of this family business.

...The inspector came out and was very nice, low key and honest with his recommendations...The next day we rec'd a report that included treating just the affected areas and also an option for treatment of the entire perimeter of the house. We decided to just treat the affected area for now. Franz came out and treated the areas and went under the house to make sure there was no activity. They drilled holes in the damaged floor board and shot a solution into it and then puttied the holes...they used a non-toxic solution. I would definitely recommend Franz

...The Franz Termite employees were superb technicians. The project involved cutting away to different lengths all the dry-rotted ends of over 20 beams, replacing the wood so it EXACTLY matched the height and width of the original beams WITHOUT destroying the fascia boards...Franz Termite followed their project plan, they cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis, Mike came by several times to ensure the job was on track - and the final price was exactly what had been quoted originally. FAQs
Many question the advantages and disadvantages about localized treatment versus termite fumigation(tenting). The big difference between the two treatments is the completeness of the treatment.
- Fumigation is a whole house treatment and will eradicate ALL drywood termite infestations including hidden infestations and infestations extending into inaccessible areas in the entire house.
- Local Treatment will only be effective in the specific area(s) treated and may only control or diminish infestations as opposed to complete eradication. Also, local treatment is only applied to visible and accessible areas of infestation.
Some of the other differences between the two treatments that may affect which treatment you chose
are price, work required to prepare for fumigation, and the need to vacate the building for
fumigation.
Yes! We have a detailed page on termite fumigation that you should read prior to fumigating including the MSDS of the products used. Fumigation is not applicable for all termite types, either. Fumigation is only used for drywood termites. Subterranean termites require localized spot treatments.
